Styrene acrylonitrile (SAN)
Styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN) resins are strong, transparent engineering thermoplastics. The styrene provides clarity, stiffness, and processability, while the acrylonitrile provides chemical and heat resistance. SAN has excellent optical properties, chemical resistance, high tensile and flexural strengths, good heat performance, good processibility, and low cost.
Applications: cosmetic packaging, instrument panel lenses.
